957 new listings appeared this week from 114 seller sites across 20 countries, down from 1,691 the previous week. The mix includes 361 embryos, 585 semen, and 11 cloning‑rights listings. The median asking price per straw for newly listed semen was $130 among 269 priced listings, while the median for embryos was $912 among 136 priced listings. U.S. sellers accounted for 549 listings, followed by Australia (122), Austria (88) and Germany (61). The most offered sires were Homerun (9), Ayato (8), Hector (8), Itofuku (8) and Yojimbo Oe1 (7).
The national Wagyu sale closed with a top price of A$28,000 for a heifer. Crossbred Wagyu carcass development is underway at Wright Pastoral, and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is raising Wagyu and Angus on his Hawaiian ranch. In Victoria, the largest cattle farm has sparked a debate over foreign ownership.
The next major sales are the Marble High Wagyu Sale on August 21, 2026 in Toowoomba, QLD; the Trent Bridge Wagyu Annual Bull Sale on September 4, 2026 in Aberfoyle, NSW; and the Wagyu Labor of Love online event on September 7, 2026.
