Yamafuji
Fujiyoshi · exported 1998 · Westholme
Yamafuji is one of the named Westholme foundation dams, part of Chris Walker's importation of about 84 black females from ET Japan Company in Hokkaido across 1997-1998. Her 'Fuji' name element tentatively places her among the roughly 44 Fujiyoshi (Shimane) females that formed the largest strain bloc of the consignment, alongside 28 Kedaka (eleven Hongen-registered) and 12 Tajiri and the founding bulls Hirashige-Tayasu, Itomoritaka and Kitateruyasu Doi. She is documented among the dams that bred on in Australia, part of the genetic base of the modern Westholme/AACo herd. Her individual pedigree is not published in the accessible sources.
