Nakayuki
Mixed · exported 1994 · Mannett Group
Nakayuki was one of the four black foundation females imported from Japan by the Mannett Group (World K's) in August 1994, alongside Okahana, Kanetani and Nakagishi 5 and the bulls Kenhanafuji and Takazakura. This shipment supplemented the famous 1993 trio of Suzutani, Rikitani and Okutani and helped widen the female genetic base of the fledgling North American fullblood herd. Post-arrival calves from the group included Tanitsuru, Nakazakura, Kitaguni Jr and Reiko. Detailed pedigree, registration and birth data for Nakayuki are not published in the breeder sources reviewed. She is significant as one of the limited number of verifiable Japan-exported foundation dams behind today's fullblood cattle.
