Masatoshi 2

cow

Mixed · exported 1998 · Westholme

Masatoshi 2 is one of the named Westholme foundation dams, part of Chris Walker's importation of about 84 black females from ET Japan Company in Hokkaido across 1997-1998. The shipment was deliberately diverse — roughly 44 Fujiyoshi, 28 Kedaka (eleven of them Hongen-registered) and 12 Tajiri — and matched with the founding bulls Hirashige-Tayasu, Itomoritaka and Kitateruyasu Doi to blend milk, size and marbling. Masatoshi 2 is documented among the dams that bred on in Australia, helping found the herd now operated as Westholme by the Australian Agricultural Company. Her individual pedigree and strain are not published in the accessible sources.
