Kunikiku 96

cow

Kedaka · exported 1998 · Westholme

Kunikiku 96 is among the named Westholme foundation dams, part of Chris Walker's importation of about 84 black females from ET Japan Company in Hokkaido across 1997-1998. Her 'Kuni' name element — shared with the well-known Kitaguni Kedaka line — tentatively places her among the 28 Kedaka females (eleven of them Hongen-registered) in a consignment rounded out by 44 Fujiyoshi and 12 Tajiri and the bulls Hirashige-Tayasu, Itomoritaka and Kitateruyasu Doi. She is documented among the dams that bred on in Australia, contributing to the foundation of the modern Westholme herd run by the Australian Agricultural Company. Her individual pedigree is not published in the accessible sources.
