Kitasekitori

cow

Kedaka · exported 1998 · Westholme

Kitasekitori is one of the named Westholme foundation dams, from Chris Walker's importation of about 84 black females out of ET Japan Company in Hokkaido across 1997-1998. Both the 'Kita' and 'Seki' elements of her name tentatively associate her with the Kedaka strain that made up 28 of the consignment's females (eleven of them Hongen-registered), the group prized for milk, growth and frame alongside 44 Fujiyoshi and 12 Tajiri females and the bulls Hirashige-Tayasu, Itomoritaka and Kitateruyasu Doi. She is documented among the dams that bred on in Australia, part of the genetic base of the modern Westholme/AACo herd. Her individual pedigree is not published.
