Himawari 245

Himawari 245 was an additional red Akaushi foundation female acquired in the mid-1990s HeartBrand importation, purchased from Takeda in Japan (a transaction breeder histories note as USDA-documented) rather than through the core nine-head Wood shipment. Together with Hitomi 244 she extended the imported Akaushi female base beyond the primary Kumamoto group. Her pedigree is not published in the sources reviewed. She is included as a verifiable named red foundation female contributing to the Akaushi maternal foundation abroad.
