Hanateru 9 was one of the seven black foundation females imported from Japan by the Mannett Group in 1997, arriving with the bull Yasufuku Jr in the last World K's consignment before Japan closed exports. She joined Taguchi 9, Nakahana 5, Mitsutaka, Okuito 9, Rabito and Hisako in broadening the fullblood female base abroad. Individual pedigree detail is not published in the sources reviewed.
