Dai 9 Koubai 73

Dai 9 Koubai 73 (also written Dai 9 Kobai) was one of the nine red Akaushi foundation females in Dr. Al and Marie Wood's 1994 importation from Kumamoto Prefecture. She was specifically purchased from Mr. Yukio Kurosawatsu, the Japanese collaborator on the import. Her pedigree is not documented in the public sources reviewed. As one of a very small, closed set of authentic Japanese Red foundation females exported before the 1997 ban, she forms part of the maternal base of registered Akaushi outside Japan.
