cow

Kumamoto (Akaushi) · exported 1994 · Dr. Al & Marie Wood

Dai 3 Namiaki (appearing in some records as Dai 3 Namiaki Ni) was one of the nine red Akaushi foundation females imported from Kumamoto Prefecture in 1994 by Dr. Al and Marie Wood. Along with Namoi, she and her calf were taken to Canada by Wagyu Sekai following the importation, contributing to the Canadian Akaushi foundation rather than the Texas HeartBrand herd. Her individual pedigree is not published in the sources reviewed. Her 'Dai 3' prefix reflects Japanese Akaushi naming convention. She counts among the limited, closed group of genuine red foundation dams that predate the 1997 export ban.
