Dai 2 Kinntou

cow

Mixed · exported 1997 · Sumo Wagyu

Dai 2 Kinntou (also rendered Dai 2 Kinto) is the foundation dam of the Kinto cow family, one of the six Takeda Farm families that Simon Coates of Sumo Wagyu imported to Australia as embryos from Shogo Takeda's Hokkaido herd. The Kinto line runs deep in Takeda's maternal records (Kinto - Ezokinto - Kinto), and Sumo Wagyu names Dai 2 Kinntou among its founding Takeda cow families, whose descendants became some of the most prized progeny of the Australian Wagyu herd. As an embryo import her exact birth data, registration and strain are not published in the accessible sources. She is included as a documented Takeda foundation dam underpinning the Sumo/Australian Wagyu herd.
