Aizakura

cow

Fujiyoshi · exported 1997 · Sumo Wagyu

Aizakura is the foundation dam of one of the six Takeda Farm cow families that Simon Coates of Sumo Wagyu imported to Australia as embryos from Shogo Takeda's Hokkaido herd. In Takeda's maternal-line records she appears in the sequence Aihime - Aizakura - Aizakura 3, and her name element ties her to the Itozakura/Fujiyoshi tradition prominent in Takeda's breeding. Sumo Wagyu lists Aizakura among its founding Takeda cow families, the source of some of the most prized progeny in the Australian herd. As an embryo import her exact birth data and registration are not published. She is included as a documented Takeda foundation dam behind the Sumo/Australian Wagyu herd.
