Kitateruyasudoi
Tajima · exported 1997 · 4,101 AU progeny
Kitateruyasudoi, tag '003' (ETJ003, J2810, herdbook FB686), born 18 March 1993, is the marbling powerhouse of Westholme's three patriarch bulls, exported as a four-year-old to the USA in 1997 (via Mr Daiji Imori of ET Japan) and used heavily in Australia. He is 100% Tajima: a linebred Kikuterudoi son of Terunaga Doi (FB685) out of Yoshimi 3 (FB684), tracing repeatedly to Yasumi Doi and Yasutani Doi. Where '001' and '002' brought size and milk, '003' brought carcass quality; he is widely regarded as the best marbling and carcass-trait proven sire of the Westholme group, with progeny fed in Japan reliably hitting the A5 grade, and he ranks among the top marbling sires in the U.S. while also sitting in the top 2% for birth weight. He recorded the heaviest average induction weights among foundation sires (326.3 kg from 51 progeny). His influence runs through elite sons such as Macquarie C1176, Macquarie Y408 and Kitahatsuhi 97/1. With about 4,101 Australian-registered progeny, he is one of the most heavily used Tajima foundation sires in Australia.
