World K's Sanjirou
Tajima
World K's Sanjirou (FB2501) is one of the most influential Wagyu bulls ever bred outside Japan, but he is a US-BORN second-generation sire, not a Japan export: he was born 28 June 1994 at Hawkeye Breeders in Adel, Iowa, from two imported parents. He is 100% Tajima and linebred to the legendary Yasumi Doi J10328, sired by World K's Michifuku out of Suzutani, the cow many regard as the best carcass female ever exported from Japan. Sanjirou repeatedly out-ranked his famous sire: he placed third for marbling in the U.S. National Wagyu Sire Summaries while also delivering exceptional ribeye area and retail yield, a rare marbling-plus-yield combination. Virtually every major American and Australian breeder used him to build female lines, and he founded a dynasty of influential sons. He belongs in the WagyuTank roster on the same logic the list already applies to Kitaguni Jr — a foundation-era sire produced from imported genetics — but he should be labeled clearly as US-born rather than a Japanese import.
