Kinto
Fujiyoshi (Shimane) · exported 1994 · 147 AU progeny
Kinto (TF39, FB2290) is one of the five black bulls Shogo Takeda exported beginning in 1994, the Takeda shipment (with Itomichi 1/2, Kikuhana, Itohana 2 and Terutani) that established Fullblood Wagyu outside Japan and first reached the U.S. in 1995 alongside 35 black heifers. His pedigree is heavily Shimane, tracing to Dai 7 Itozakura twice through the paternal line and once maternally, while his maternal line runs back to the Ezokintou line and the Dai 2 Kintou cow family of the Haraharashu strain, genetics long associated with consistently large, high-quality carcasses. Breeders use him to add mature size and growth to their herds, though his offspring are sometimes described as higher-strung in temperament, a trait managers weigh against his frame and carcass contribution. He is among the less numerous Takeda foundation sires, with roughly 147 registrations in Australia. Despite the smaller footprint, he remains a documented pillar of the Shimane/Kintou growth genetics that diversified the early Fullblood gene pool in North America and Australia.
