World K's Beijirou
Mixed
World K's Beijirou (FB2289) holds a place in Wagyu history as one of the very first fullblood Wagyu calves born in the United States: he and his sister Fujiko were born on 24 June 1994 out of the foundation cow Okutani, sired by World K's Haruki 2. He is US-born from imported parents, not a Japan export, and his registration number (FB2289) sits in the same early sequence as the Takeda live-import bulls, which is exactly why he is easy to mistake for an imported foundation sire. Genetically he follows his sire Haruki 2's balanced, non-pure-Tajima makeup, blending Tajima with Fujiyoshi, Itozakura and Kedaka, giving him a growth-and-maternal profile rather than the extreme marbling of the Michifuku-line 2nd-gen bulls. He is a full brother to Genjiro. Beijirou is worth including for historical completeness as a landmark first-generation American-born sire, clearly flagged as US-born rather than exported from Japan.
